Build your own Lightsphere

I've been to a concert a few weeks ago and had to take some shots of the band. I had to shoot at a very low position because of the sitting ;-) audience. I shot with my Canon Speedlight 299T and had a big problem with hard shadows at the roof (i leo'd Decke, don't get a good word for it, doesn't matter). I decided to build my own lightsphere as a portable solution for a soft light and soft shadows. I took an empty mouth wash bottle, cut one side off and wraped around 2 layers of white baking paper. Easy and cheap cheap cheap! Check it out here:

And here is the result:

On top with my Lightsphere, below the one without LS and some great shadows;-)

Thanks to my model, CM Punk!

Colorful Wallpaper

I've done a wallpaper for my macbook in cinema. Didn't expect it to be that nice. So if you want make your desktop look colorful, go ahead and download it here:

IVYLICE Website and Myspace

IVYLICE are some friends of mine, who design shirts and draw them on their own. They asked me to do a website redesign and mypsace design for them. I wanted to combine fabric elements with a clear design. This is what finally made it:

Ivylice.com
Ivylice Myspace

I had a lot of fun during that project, lots of different programms and lots of sleepless nights. Stay punk, Don

Fluff Affair EP Cover

I've done a cover for my friend Paul and his band Fluffaffair.
I had to hurry, only 3 days before deadline i had the chance to
take the pictures i needed. The cover is all about the love vs. friends-thing.
No one needs all of these lovesongs, we need happy ones.

Click on the images to get them in higher res.
I want to say thanks to my friend Irina (the hottie on the left), my dearest Josi (drunken partyboy on the right) and my schwede (the decider). Check out Fluffaffair on Myspace. I've also done their myspace-design, nothing special, just fitting with the cover-artwork.
Bye Don

Dear Boys and Girls,

The prime reason for this, is my application for my internship in the 5th (next) semester.
To complete my online appearance i run this blog. It's easier to show some
actual work here than integrate it into my website everytime. So stay tuned, visit my website:
www.12pt5.com and suscribe this blog to your rss-readers.
